Some problems on China mpps v18 maybe on new ones it is solved:

ON the tricore cable the +12v switch is only on t he pin 16 of the obd female, so it cuts +12v only on the tool the ecu is always poweered for solve it you can put a switch for cutting all positives and other for minor positives.

Boot wire have no resistor to ground.

A: It’s simple; just look purple PCB, then you can be 100% sure its build EU clone. China have green or red PCB.
But remember, full reworked green Kess V2from China also works well. And it is low budget clone for start business.

But you have to know- no matter what the colour of the pcb is ist sa pcb
the main thing is good quality parts thats is all thats needed
a china kess/ktag fgtech or any other board if reworked will work exactly as it should
eu made/pcb is a gimmick in most sellers (would like to see proof otherwise)
all the eu boards i have seen have been china made pcb’s some reworked some not even changed but sold as eu made.
the purple eu made kess and ktags can someone proove where in the eu they are made?
poland maybe or germany etc but as i said before makes no diference whatsoever if the parts are good quality then the pcb’s are all the same
they all use the same project to make the pcb’s

Step by step procedure on installing INSITE on Cummins Inline 5 data link truck diagnostic adapter.


  1. Exit all anti-virus software programs
2.Setup Cummins 8.2.0 pro/lite version software
How to Install Activate Cummins Insite Pro and Lite

Step 1: setup Inline 5 driver 
Any of windows 7 8 10 is okay, I take Windows 7 32-bit for example.

Open software CD
Open INSITE.7_6_2.rar-> Software folder->INSITE 5 Drivers

Copy Inline Setup- 32 Bit.exe and paste it to the desktop
For 64-bit system, you copy Inline Setup- 64 Bit.exe to desktop

Setup the adapter driver, I use Cummins Inline5 data link (Inline 6, Nexiq or other adapters are working too)
Run Inline Setup-32 Bit on desktop as administrator 

Click on NEXT

Accept the windows security warning to setup driver software

Tick "Launch Inline 4/5 Reflash Tool" and click on Finish
Delete Inline Setup-32 Bit on desktop
Device driver has been successfully installed

Open Computer->Manager->Device Manager->Universal Serial Bus Controller to check if the driver establishes a good communication with the computer.

Step 2: Add Inline5 adapter to INSITE 8.2.0
Open INSITE pro or lite version software on desktop

Select "Add New" option on the middle of the bottom tool bar

Click on "Next" to setup ECU Connection Wizard

Choose RP1210 adapters, click on Next

Choose Vendor, Adapter INLINR 5 USB and protocol Auto detect, click on Next

Click on Next
Tick both 2 options and click on Finish
Again software will prompt to install ECU connection wizard, click on NEXT
Do the same setting as above, but this time we choose protocol J1708

Click on Finish
Do the setting again, this time we add protocol J1939
Click on Finish and cancel ECU connection wizard interface
Please add the corresponding adapter in the insite software

Choose "INLINES USB (Auto Detect) Connection" in the middle of bottom tool bar

Click on the "Connect" button to connect to ECM
Now you are ready to use the software to read fault code, manage data logger, do calibration etc

Hi. I have own VVDI key tool, and can't clone remote for vw, when try read original key for cloning remote and pressing unlock and lock there codes always changing, when write and check clone remote there only 1 code writed and doesn't changes, maybe there is special keys for vw ?

If the vw remote is original you have to choose remote program or remote prepare from the menu
And then choose vw and choose the remote from frequency and fcc
And about cloning remote it used for fixed code remote

Reference: How to program VW 1KO959753N remote with Xhorse vvdi key tool:
First, power on VVDI KEY TOOL, you will see a disclaimer message, press OK button to confirm.
Next, you will see the main menu as below. Choose “Remote Prepare” function.
Select car brand region “Europe”.
And select “VW” according to the icon.
Then, select the key chip type you want to generate. In this case it’s “1KO 959 753 N”.
You will see the remote key picture and frequency 434.0MHz.
Last, connect the remote key PCB board with VVDI KEY TOOL via the cable come with package.
Press OK button and select “Wire” mode to generate new remote key chip.

 Mercedes BE Key Frequencey Test with/without VVDI MB TOOL Alerter l'administrateur Recommander à un ami Lien de l'article 

Had good successs with frequency test of VVDI BE key pro improved version, frequency between 315Mhz and 433Mhz, tested with and without VVDI Mercedes software

This is how to test VVDI BE Key Pro frequencey…

For those have no VVDI MB:
You can change key frequency 315 MHZ or 433MHZ with removal of a PCB resistor

Put the VVDI BE Key to the VVDI MB BGA TOOL to test the key frequency

This is a complete new BE key unused.
Test the frequency with VVDI key tool, it is 315MHZ.
Here is a square resistor marked with “FRE”, just remove it.
Put the BE key into the VVDI key tool to read out 433MHZ frequency.

For those have VVDI MB TOOL:
You can change key frequency 315 MHZ or 433MHZ with VVDI MB tool

Open VVDI MB tool, Enter Menu -> Other functions -> reset key frequency.
Click on ” Read out key frequency”, the result is 315MHZ.
Put the VVDI BE key on the top of the VVDI KEY TOOL and the key frequency is 315MHZ.
Insert the VVDI BE key into VVDI MB tool.
Choose” 433MHZ” then “Change key frequency”, reset successfully.
Put the VVDI BE key on the top of the VVDI KEY TOOL and read out 433MHZ.93.
Insert the VVDI BE key into VVDI MB tool and you can see ” the key frequency is 433MHZ.93″, click “OK” to confirm.
Explanation to the option “through PCB resistor”. who don’t have VVDI MB tool, then change the key frequency through PCB resistor.
